My pursuit of the past

Since my early childhood, I have been enamored by the history of humans. Be it listening to my grandfather’s WWII experiences or visiting the countless significant sites that surrounded my New England hometown, attempting to understand those who have come before me is a cornerstone of my earliest memories.

This is what inspired my academic career beginning with my undergraduate degree from Assumption University in sociology and history. Seeking to refine and professionalize my skills as a historian, I earned my graduate degree from Pace University in American history in 2021.

To maintain at all times a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police
— Sir Robert Peel, 1829

In 2016, I entered law enforcement where I continue to apply the analytic skills of the historian to criminal investigations. In the years since my first days as a uniformed patrol officer, I have served at various levels conducting local and federal criminal investigations. Due to my background, I was selected to be the official historian of the Northborough Police Department where I have researched the development of the agency and maintained an archive of documents and items relating to the force.
